Electrical control strategy for an ocean energy conversion system

چکیده
Abstract Globally abundant wave energy for power generation attracts ever increasing attention. Because of non-linear dynamics and potential uncertainties in ocean conversion systems, productivity needs to be increased by applying robust control algorithms. This paper focuses on strategies a small system based direct driven permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG). It evaluates the performance two kinds strategies, i.e., traditional field-oriented (FOC) adaptive control. The proposed successfully achieves maximum velocity stable production, with reduced speed tracking error response time. also guarantees global stability its superiority over FOC using back-stepping technique offering better optimization solution. robustness is further enhanced investigating Lyapunov method use DC-DC boost converter. To overcome complexity, turbine-generator take-off (PTO) considered. A Matlab/Simulink study verifies advantages strategy an Oscillating Water Column (OWC) system.
